Visitors reported cold spots, presences, and even being touched by unseen forces in the Pool Room. Doors slam and footsteps are often heard in empty rooms in middle night. They are particularly loud from the second floor conference room. Visitors have also reported strange smells and having a sense that the room is full of people even the room was empty. The new owners have been told by psychics that there are 49 spirits in residence at the Brookdale. Enough to make it more than worth a visit.
2. Glen Tavern Inn, Santa Paula, CA

As a featured on Ghost TV show Ghost Adventure (Travel Channel). The room 307 on third floor have two ghosts that been seen. The ghost name are Calvin and prostitute. Calvin has often been seen in this room, and also the lobby many times. Visitors have said his apparition is tall and thin, wears a white shirt, and has long hair and a goatee. He is often captured in pictures, and has been seen to walk through walls. It is understood that a cowboy that could be Calvin, was shot and killed during a game of cards back when the 3rd floor was used as a poker room. During a renovation, a western style hat was found behind one of the walls, with what looked like two bullet holes and what looked like old blood stains.

The building is reportedly haunted by the spirit of Isabella who is still waiting for her husband come back, as a gold miner. A small hotel, the rooms in the building are decorated with expensive furniture and are themed in connection with colorful stories from the hotel’s history. Isabella’s room or known as Isabella’s Garden has. According to the hotel’s owner, there is an area where paranormal activity has occurred. The door has lock and unlocked by itself, the curtains have been tied in a knot, the heater has mysteriously turned on, and once she moved a nightstand from room 4 to room 2. Her footsteps can heard sometime in lobby.

Also very strange encounters. Dark shadows, footsteps,my cat would get very upset sometimes when he would face the door leading to the trash chute. This place had a huge basement that captured some footsteps.
